The Main Event
We used the function of this Birthing Suite as a way to orient the design. A large bed takes up the visual mass of the suite but, the design draws in the user to the back of the space, highlighting the the very reason they are there.
Embrace Themes.
Themes often help us extend the possibilities of a design concept. From a foundation of evoking imagination, jewel tones, and nature inspired illustrations, we can walk tenants through a series of landscapes. Explore the mossy ground cover, see fish in the river bends, and finally to join the birds in the sky.
Custom Furniture.
Does the furniture you want from your space not exist in your esthetic? Let’s create something unique that people will remember. I partnered with a local craftsman to create this arcade in an industrial style using faux leather, burnished wood, and metal mesh, all while coming in under-budget compared to the products already on the market.
History.
By using furniture styles from a shared point in time, we can teach guests more about what happened in the crossroads of this place and celebrate those that came before us.
Art Commissions.
It all begins with an idea. I was inspired by the work of an Austin Artist and we partnered to create a custom piece for a Commercial Developer in Dallas, Texas that celebrated the city that holds their headquarters and express their dynamic vision.
Think Outside the Box.
Adding Artwork can get monotonous, Here I add artwork using symbolism to break the box for a simple, yet whimsical, impact while using a local art vendor.
Soft Touches.
Often, all a space needs to feel finished is the soft touches of Window Treatments. We use it to provide privacy, respite from the sun, or a way to add personality to an otherwise plain environment.
